Mega Projects Worth Rs 12,000 Crore Shaping Up Future City By ugesh sarkar, Section Punjab Real Estate
Work has begun on the Rs 12,000-crore worth mega projects planned for Mohali with an aim to transform what it is presently known as Chandigarh's poor cousin into the Future City.

MOHALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The Airports Authority of India have already received 305 acre to construct an international airport terminal building at the cost of Rs 540 crore. International flights likely to begin this year.

Other projects in the pipeline are the Expressway around Mohali, IT Tower, the Punjab Habitat Centre, a hotel and international convention centre, the Institute of Hotel Management campus, an AC fruit and vegetable market and a fast food centre. Expressions of interest have been invited for projects over Rs 2,100 crore.
